There is a lot of excitement here as we are getting ready for a talk by Francis Nolan on Monday.
Francis devised the language Parseltongue for the Harry Potter movies. He'll be talking about this and about lateral sounds (where air passes the sides of the tongue on its way through your mouth) in Estonian Swedish, an endangered dialect historically spoken in the west of Estonia.
The talk is in room C209 in College Building at 12noon on Monday 31st March. All welcome. More information here:
