We had a study visit to the British Museum today. Our guide showed us the Rosetta Stone and told us a bit about its significance and then took us to a room with a range of examples of Arabic script. We found out lots of interesting things about Arabic writing. One of my favourite things was the piece by Nja Mahdaoui
I couldn't find a decent picture of the work we looked at but you can see examples on his website and see one of his drums, which we also didn't make it to, if you search for him on the British Museum's Compass pages.
