Right, I'm slightly stressed for the project I've to do with Sylvia, and I don't know what topic I could research and structure a project on. I thought of doing something like 'cultural differences in gesturing', but altho I've got a videocamera it would be too hard for me to do it. The other thing I thought is 'attitudes towards homosexuality'.
What do you think?
The project focuses on the collection of empirical data: either in non-verbal communication observations of behaviour, or in social psychology a questionnaire about social attitudes. Hence the technical considerations about video etc... deadline for the project: 6th May...

I don't know what should your project look like, but a study of the cultural differences in gesturing would be very interesting. You can find a lot of material on that, esp. comparing between western and eastern cultures in terms of the extent of using gestures and body language in communication, same gestures which mean different things in different countries, taboo gestures, etc. Good luck.

Maybe if you do something about attitudes towards homosexuality you could try to find out whether people think that male gays are much more visible in society than lesbians, at least that's my impression. That would narrow down your research question a bit.

Hi Marta,
Thanks for sending the first 'proper' post to the blog. I was thinking, actually, that oasis might be a better place to post this as it really has to do with one module and maybe other people won't understand your question. Anyway, hope you get some responses.
